The team at nq ortho have been invited to walk for Women’s Cancer on Sunday the 26th October 2014 by Lorraine Craven who has done a lot of volunteering for the Queensland Cancer Council. We would like to invite you as well!!

This year the Cairns district has been able have been able to organise a “Walk for Women” which will be run as a fundraising event for Breast Cancer Research.

The walk is a 12km loop around Cairns, starting at Fogarty park, heading down Spence Street, north up Mcleod Street, we do a pink ribbon loop walk in Centenary Lakes before walking up Lily Street straight to the northern end of the esplanade and than all the way back to Fogarty park.

The walk has been estimated to take approximately 3 hours – it will start at 8am. For those of us who find 12km a little bit too long there will be a vehicle to do a quick pick up at the end of it.

There is also a webpage running for online registration the address is:

Rego is simply $30 per walker and there is also an opportunity for teams to sign up as well as individuals.

Please sign up and pass this information onto as many people as you can so that we can ensure that Cairns “Walk for Women” is a huge success and help raise much needed funds!!
