NQ Ortho is the trading name of Cairns Orthodontic Specialists Pty Ltd (ABN 72 010 567 316). We provide orthodontic care in Cairns and Atherton. As a health service provider, we are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles in full.

At a glance

What we collect: Contact details, health and dental history, clinical notes, photos, x-rays and scans, billing and health fund details, and a parent or guardian's details for patients under 18.

Why: To plan and deliver your treatment, coordinate with your other practitioners, process claims, and run the practice.

Who we share it with: Only those involved in your care or who support our practice, such as referring practitioners, appliance labs, clinical software, and IT providers. We never sell your information.

Overseas: Some appliance makers, clinical platforms and our administrative support are overseas. The countries are listed in the full policy.

AI: We use AI to help draft clinical notes and review monitoring scans. A clinician checks everything and makes every decision.

Your rights: You can ask to see or correct your information. There's no charge to make a request.

Our website

Our website uses cookies and similar tools for analytics, including tools from Google and Microsoft. Google Analytics runs for everyone to count visits; all other tools only run if you choose “Support our practice” in our cookie banner. See our Cookies Policy.

Online booking requests go to our practice system, which is held on our own servers. Our Quick Check virtual consultation is provided by a third-party platform that stores information in France.

You can make a general enquiry without giving your name. We need to identify you to book or treat you.

Marketing messages

We send marketing emails and SMS only if you've agreed to receive them. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe. Unsubscribing won't stop appointment reminders or messages about your care.
